I can FINALLY pull my self up into a head stand without using the wall or “kicking up”. These may not seem like a big deal for someone who has been practicing yoga for years but it has been the one thing that I have REALLY struggled with. I just haven’t felt the core strength to get my legs up without kicking. I used to kick up and was encouraged by a few teachers to slow down and get into the head stand gently rather than torquing. Wise advice that I only now have been learning the importance of. We need these bodies for a life time. It is really important not to let our ego push our body into a posture it isn’t ready for.  On this note I will leave you with a link to Vanda Scaravelli doing a back bend.. Lovely.
